This past week I attended my bi-weekly meeting with the Bouse Genies. A great group of people that get together during November and March in a small town where we have our "cabin in the desert". It's primarily a retirement community where we spend several months during the winter (to hot in the Summertime). I enjoy getting together with people that are working on a common project. Everyone is so willing to assist one another. Learning lots!

The "word" for week 3 is Longevity. I decided that I am going to use that word in reference to this project. I will work on my family history for the rest of my life. I'm in it for the long haul and want to have it organized in a fashion that it can be passed down to the next person so they can pick up and run with it easily. My goal is to document the information in a manner so we know it's as much as the truth as possible and not just information handed down without any facts.

This past week I worked on:
- Updating my Pedigree Chart with names, birth, marriage and death dates along with some of the children. I will need to go back and fill in the gaps as I continue to research each person individually. But it gives me a place to start.
- Continued to write my mother's story as best as she can remember (she is currently 86),
- My life story started.
- Found some documents on Ancestory.com and saved them for future mining.
Can't wait to start my week 4......
